Ya, Darren. At the right bottom of the MSN, you can see the pen icon just beside the alphabet icon. Click on the pen icon and u can start hand drawing. Have fun with your dear :)
Darren, I have no idea how is the Mac version MSN. But you can check whether you have enable the function of show handwrite tab in conversation windows under Option->Messages if it's available in Mac version.
